Differential drive in robots, especially robots with two wheels, is a calculation of the speed difference between the two wheels. The steering system on a two-wheeled robot is called differential steering, which is the difference in speed between each wheel, and this requires that each wheel has an independent motor. To change the movement of the two-wheeled robot position, it is necessary to adjust the speed of each wheel. If the robot moves to the left, then the right wheel is given a speed based on the PWM value that is greater than the left wheel. Calculations are required to estimate the robot's movement and position. Several cases in calculating the position and distance traveled by the robot, there is a problem related to the good / bad track. The calculation will approach the desired value if the path is on a flat plane. Odometry is the use of data from motion sensors to predict changes in position over time. The odometry system will count the number of pulses from each encoder rotation and then it will be processed mathematically so that the position and distance traveled can be determined. The results of this study are the results of the robot's movement orientation, so that the directions, motion position, and distance traveled by the robot can be known.
}, journal={Prosiding Seminar Nasional Teknik Elektro UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung}, author={Samsiana, Seta and Agung S, Putra Wisnu and Anwar, Rosihan}, year={2021}, month={Jan.}, pages={46–52} }
